on Gordon Brown and calls for a Labour leadership election

The end is nigh? When one of your whips, and party Vice, people paid to keep the party in line, suggests a leadership election then it is time to be worried.
Just call me Gord has no one to blame but himself of course. When the eyes of a country turn on you to offer help in what can only be a colder winter than usual and your response is "wrap up warm" images of another winter of discontent spring to mind.
The next few days and weeks will prove interesting leading up to the Labour Party conference. Brown can expect much hand clapping there, slow as it may be.

A third PM with a new unmandated agenda is not what Britain needs, it's time for a general election and Gordon Brown would do well to call for one in his keynote speech.
